
Michael Braun, Lisa Becharas, and Kevin Tuuk, led another big day for Grim Reaper Fitness at the Run for Hope 10K Sunday.
Braun finished 2nd overall and 1st in the 20-24 Age Group with a time of 38:43, good for a 6:15 pace. Becharas racked up another women’s title, adding to her St. Pat’s Day title, running a 39:41 as the first female finisher. Tuuk won the Masters division and finished 4th overall with a time of 39:45.
Jason Huber, David Quinn, and Celeste Kudrys won Age Group championships. Huber, 6th overall, won the men’s 35-29 division in 40:37, while Quinn was right behind at 7th overall and 1st in the 45-49 division at 40:42. Kudrys, 2nd overall among the women, was 1st in the 35-39 division in 46:08.
In the 5K race, Erik Rankin finished 5th overall and 1st in the 35-39 division at 23:06.
Other Reapers who raked in top 3 awards included: on the 10K side, Lisa Kiley 2nd in 50-54 at 59:54; Kelly Ruiter 3rd in 30:34 at 53:24; Matt Cuttell 3rd in 30-34 at 53:41; and Barb Simmons 3rd in 45:49 at 1:04:59. On the 5K side: Jason Hebel 2nd in 35-39 at 23:17; and Scott Todd 2nd in 45-49 at 27:35.
On Saturday, Wendy Smith set her half marathon PR with a 1:57:13 at the Lake of the Ozarks Bridge and Dam Half.
