
The Braun brothers were at it again for Grim Reaper Fitness, posting top-5 finishes at the Run for Hope Saturday, while three other Reapers won their age groups.
Chris Braun finished 2nd overall in the 5K and won the 15-19 Age Group with a time of 21:04. Michael Braun was 5th overall in the 10K and won the 20-24 Age Group in a time of 42:11. This was done after the brothers did a 90-minute cycling workout earlier in the morning.
Bev Smith, competing in her first standalone 10K, women the women’s 60-and-over Age Group in 1:05:48. Maria Hernandez place 2nd in 45-49 with a time of 56:22, while Jessica Miner was 3rd in 35-39 at 56:08. Scott Renfro place 3rd in men’s 30-34, coming in at 48:42.
In the 5K, Lisa Kiley and Tim Auth both won their age groups. Kiley came in at 27:10 to win women’s 50-54, while Auth finished 8th overall to win the 45-49 AG in 23:59. Scott Todd was 3rd in 45-49 at 29:26.
At the Litchfield Spring Duathlon Saturday, Kelly Ruiter placed 4th among women and Rebecca Mitchell was 6th. The event consisted of a 2-mile run, 12-mile bike, and another 2-mile run. Ruiter finished in 1:15:24 to win the 30-34 age group, while Mitchell was 12 seconds behind at 1:15:36 to win the 45-49 Age Group.
