
PETERSBURG – Five Reapers took 1st-place Age Group finishes and nine others brought home medals for top-3 finishes at the Stovepipe Triathlon Saturday.
Lisa Kiley had the best time of the first-place finishers at 1:24:23 to win the 55-59 division. Isaac Goughnour posted the day’s fastest swim time of 8:54 en route to winning the 14-and-under, while Lily Matthews had the fastest women’s swim time, and third best overall, at 9:11 to win the 15-19 bracket in 1:31:07. Riley Cate took the female 14-and-under at 1:52:17, while Jori Cooper won the Athena division in 1:31:36.
Second-place finishers included: Tim Auth in Clydesdale at 1:20:21; Curtis Preston in 40-44 at 1:22:33; Jessica Miner in 40-44 at 1:26:26; and Natalie McKee in Athena at 1:35:22.
Third-place finishers included: David Cate in Clydesdale at 1:30:21; Kevin Callis in 50-54 at 1:31:26; Racheal Gannaway in 40-44 at 1:37:54; Ryan Janssen in 25-29 at 1:57:17; and Amber Campen, racing in her first triathlon, at 2:12:13.
