Kevin Tuuk wins Master’s at Lake Run half marathon

HUDSON, IL – Grim Reaper Fitness’ Kevin Tuuk won the Master’s division and was 2^nd overall at the half marathon at Saturday’s Lake Run.

Tuuk completed the 13.1-mile course, which incorporated for the first time a couple miles of trail running at Timber Point, in 1:32:31 for a 7:03, about six minutes behind the winner. Other Reapers in the half marathon included: Scott Renfro (pictured) at 2:04:46 for 6^th in Foot Pounders Light (190-219 pounds); Christine Kachelmuss at 2:09:18 for 5^th in 25-29; Lisa Medved at 2:24:30 for 2^nd in 50-54.

The race day at Lake Bloomington also featured a 7k and 12k.

Louis Green had the club’s best time in the 7k, finishing in 31:21 for a 7:10 pace and 2^nd in the 40-44 division. Racheal Chiolero won the women’s 40-44 division in 32:47. Tim Auth and Jason Hebel competed in the Foot Pounders division (220 pounds and up), with Auth placing 3^rd in the 36:36 and Hebel 10^th in 46:09.

In the 12k, Barb Cunningham finished 2^nd in 40-44 at 1:23:20, while Wendy Smith was 8^th in 45-49 at 1:28:12. Chris Cunningham (1:10:00) and Kevin Callis (1:16:39) finished 9^th and 11^th in Foot Pounders Light at 1:10:00, respectively.
