
PEORIA, IL – Jason Sturdyvin and Jay McGee, while Jessica Miner completed her first marathon in 12 years, as a big group of Reapers competed in the Whiskeydaddle races here Sunday.
Sturdyvin and McGee ran together in the half marathon and crossed the line together to finish at 1:42:02 for a 7:48 pace. Sturdyvin was 14th in the 35-39 age group and 50th overall of 700+ racers. McGee was 49th overall and 8th in 30-34.
Miner completed her second 26-mile race, finishing in 5:41:14.
Back in the 13.1-mile race, Chris Cunningham just missed a personal record with a time of 2:05:31 to finish 18th 45-49. Christine Kachelmuss finished at 2:20:56; Jason Hebel at 2:28:29; and Wendy Smith at 2:47:04.
Finally, Jori Cooper, Annie McGee, Brenda Shaw, and Catherine Sturdyvin – each recovering from various injuries and conditions – stayed together and crossed the line together at 3:22:35/36.
Miner, Cunningham, Cooper, and Shaw got “extra credit” for completing the 5k race, as well, on Saturday.
