SPRINGFIELD – David and Riley Cate took father-daughter 1st-place finishes and Nicki Ragains also posted a 1st as a group of Grim Reapers competed in the Capital City Biathlon here Saturday.
Rley Cate navigate the 3.1-mile run and 15-mile bike course in 1:29:00 to win the 15-19 division, while David took first in the Clydesdale (220 pounds-and-up) division in 1:13:34. Ragains on the Athena division in 1:50:59.
Adam Pool (1:13:19 in 35-39), Tim Auth (1:14:21 in Clydesdale), Louis Green (1:22:39 in 40-44), and Natalie McKee (1:27:39 in 40-44) all took 2nd in their age groups. Racheal Chiolero was 4th in 40-44, but her run time of 21:09 was the best women’s time of the day.
