Kachelmuss, Weber complete Ironman Wisconsin

MADISON, WI – Grim Reaper Fitness member Christine Kachelmuss completed her first Ironman race, while Brandon Weber also completed the Ironman distance and Brian Spaulding completed the 70.3 race at Ironman Wisconsin Sunday.

Kachelmuss completed the course in 13:43:44, 37th in her age group. She posted times of 1:20:02 in the 4000-meter swim, 6:46:50 in the 112-mile bike, and 5:14:15 in the 26-mile race. As usual, consistency was her mark as, in age group, she was 31st in swim, 30th in bike, and 37th in run.

Webber completed the course in 16:02:11. He posted a 2:05:16 swim, 7:59:22 bike, and 5:34:56 run.

Spaulding ran the 70.3 race — the first time the two distances have been held on the same day — which consisted of a 1500-meter swim, 56-mile bike, and 13-mile run. He posted a swim of 48:09, a bike of 3:36:44, and a run of 2:34:19.

Litchfield Triathlou

Greg Dietz placed 7th overall in the Olympic-distance Litchfield Triathlou Saturday.

Competing in the 40-44 age group, Dietz placed 2nd in the division with a time of 2:35:47. The event consisted of a 500-yard open water swim, 25-mile bike, and 6.2-mile run. Dietz’s run time of 44:57 was 5th-best of the event.
