
Erin Weizeorick complete Ironman Indiana, while three Reapers completed the inaugural Memphis 70.3 race Saturday.
Ironman Indiana
At Muncie, Weizeorick completed here second Ironman race, finishing in 14:15:25, which placed her 34th in the 25-29 age group. She started strong with a time of 1:15:25 in the 4000-meter swim, which was 13th-best in the division. She completed the 112-mile bike course in 6:57:25 and the 26-mile run in 5:44:44.
Memphis 70.3
Laura Becher, Laurie Bederka, and Racheal Chiolero teamed up in the relay to finish at 5:46:09 and take 6th of 33 relay squads on a rainy day in Tennessee. Becher started matters off with a 39:09 time in the 2000-meter swim. Bederka posted a strong 3:09:27 on the hilly, 56-mile bike course. Chiolero capped it with a 1:50:54 in the 13-mile run.
Christine Kachelmuss led the individual racers. Her time of 6:08:24 was good for an impressive 9th-place finish in the 20-34 age group. Kachelmuss swam in 41:46, bike in 3:00:04 (4th best in her division), and ran in 2:14:33.
Julie Zei completed her second 70.3-mile race, coming in at 6:53:51, while Adam Pool, competing in his first 70.3 race, finished in 7:10:07.
